Moment in Time

DATE: circa 1961

Art students pull serigraphs, or screenprints, in a UW–Madison studio in the early 1960s. Printmaking has long been a strength at UW–Madison — the Art Department offered the first college course in serigraphy in 1950, taught by Dean Meeker. Today, the Printmaking program remains among the nation’s best.
